Description

Study of a Carrot is an autobiographical series by Pepo Art that fuses pop art, hyperrealistic details, and an exotic style to tell his personal story. Each work reflects intimate moments, family, travels, love, heartbreak, and his unique worldview. Through dates, places, and symbols laden with meaning, this series transforms memory into image and the everyday into art.

ALAMOS 1982

My childhood was paradise: we were happy without knowing it, playing among porcelain, toys, and golden silences. This painting is a love letter to that perfect time. Snoopy dances, Mazinger Z waits, and a carrot-shaped telephone connects with the root of it all: the house in Álamos, the beginning. Each stroke is an exact memory: the red armchair, the hospital gown, the games with my sisters, the rabbit that would announce my return to art. Everything is here, trapped in the brightest nostalgia, framed with the memory I myself sculpted. Because when I look back, I only see light.
